The Vice-Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Luay Kazim Aboud, discussed with the representative of the General Authority for Surveying at the Ministry of Water Resources, Dr. Shaima Latif Hussein, prospects for scientific and technical cooperation between the university and the Ministry of Water Resources formations and the possibility of increasing this cooperation. The meeting was in the presence of the dean of the College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics at Al-Karkh University of Science and a number of faculty members.

 


The meeting included the definition of the outputs of Al-Karkh University of Science, especially the outputs of the College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics, as well as a discussion of the possibility of joint cooperation between the two sides at the level of specialized researchers and laboratories to achieve institutional integration between the Ministry and Al- Karkh University of Science and benefiting from the outputs of the College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics within the data and the need of the planning department to enter within the need in the Ministry of Water Resources, which was previously agreed with the Minister of Water Resources.

 

During the meeting, Dr. Shaima Latif Hussein stressed the Ministry's support to universities and educational institutions as well as the intention to participate in the second international conference organized by the university through scientific research and field studies.

 

The two parties agreed to form specialized committees to define the mechanism of cooperation and to complete a time limit for submitting detailed reports, provided that there is a joint body between the two sides to follow up the implementation, recommendations and accomplishments.
